Dated by passing events. (the dedications are `to the heroic peoples of Indochina') and often marred by an uncritical acceptance of a Marxist theology, these pieces deal with real problems and merit consideration by historians of science. Needham contributes a piece on the Chinese world view; Lewontin and Levins on Lysenko is very interesting. Perhaps the most consequential is Cooley on `Contradictions of science and technology in the productive process'.”
