Monopoles before Dirac (1983)

unapi

Description “... It is not true to say that the magnetic monopole concept was absent from quantum theory. On the contrary, the concept of a magnetic current, with which were associated both monopoles and other entities related to Dirac's later 'strings', was a subject of considerable debate in the quantum context in the early 1920s.”
